Koncho Kisi Qvevri 2020

Kisi grapes are used for this wine. This grape has firm juice with good acids. Grapes are fermented in the qvevri and left to mature for five months. The wine is then matured in oak barrels for another year. The result is a remarkably friendly ‘orange’ or ‘amber’ wine. A very nice start if you want to get to know this type of wine.

It is light amber in colour and smells of candied fruit and dried apricots. It is soft in the mouth. No hard tannins but dried tropical fruit, orange peel, melon, ripe apples and hazelnuts.
